Christmas is for Kids 2026

Every October, the Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children opens up applications for its annual Christmas is for Kids program. Since 1983, Christmas is for Kids (CIFK) has spread holiday cheer by matching gifts with nearly one thousand local children. Families in need can find the application online or by visiting the Reference Desk on the second floor of the Library. In addition to meeting certain eligibility requirements, CIFK requires returning families to “give back” by volunteering in the community or participating in in-person or online workshops to grow skills to be able to further support their family. Included in those workshops are the free library resources: Universal Class and Mango Languages.

As the saying goes, it takes a village, and thanks to the Attleboro and surrounding communities, CIFK has been able to support families for over four decades. With your help, the organization will continue to do so for years to come. Any support is greatly appreciated, from volunteering time, to making a monetary donation or being matched with a child’s wishlist.
