Where do I park when I visit the library?
The Attleboro Public Library is located next to an Attleboro municipal parking lot. Library visitors may park along the back fence free of charge for up to three hours or along the stone wall adjacent to the library free of charge for up to a half an hour. If you park in any other parking spot, you are expected to pay 40¢ an hour by purchasing a voucher at the machine in the center of the parking lot. Parking passes from the YMCA are valid NOT valid in the lot adjacent to the Library. They are only valid in the Sanford Street parking lot.

What are the library’s hours of operation? Our current business hours are:
- Monday 9am-12pm and 1-4pm
- Tuesday 9am-12pm and 1-4pm
- Wednesday 9am-12pm and 1-4pm
- Thursday 1-4pm and 5-8pm
- Friday 9am-12pm and 1-4pm
- Saturday: 9am-12pm and 1-4pm* (*Open Saturdays 8:30am-1:30pm during the summer.)
How can I get a library card? You may register for a library card in person or Register ONLINE Either way, you will need to validate your registration by bringing to the library proof of your local address. This could be either an ID or a piece of mail that has been postmarked.
Why did I get a message asking me to renew my card? In order to ensure that we keep accurate records, library cards expire every three years. You may call the library or come in person to renew your card. You will be asked to confirm your address and contact information.
How can I renew the items checked out on my card? You can renew items online through the “My Accounts” page of the catalog (http://sails.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/aboromain). You can also renew items in person or over the phone.
Can I return items I check out at the Attleboro Public Library to another library? The Attleboro Public Library is part of the SAILS library network. This means you can return items borrowed from Attleboro to other SAILS libraries or vice versa.
What is my PIN? Most likely, your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number. If that doesn’t work, please submit a request to Recover PIN
What should I do if I lose my library card? You are responsible for any items checked out on your account. If you think you have lost your card, please contact the Attleboro Public Library so that we can block access to your account. Replacement cards can be purchased for $1.00 at the circulation desk; please bring an ID with you when requesting a new library card.
How can I ask a librarian a question? Any time the library is open, a reference librarian is available to answer questions. While priority is given to patrons who visit the library in person, you can also email the reference department (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call the library and ask to speak to the reference desk. Does the library have a book sale? Yes, the Friends of Attleboro Public Library sponsors the Book Nook, an ongoing sale in the first-floor lobby where books, DVDs, and puzzles are available for a donation. Does the library accept donations? **Please note, due to ongoing building construction, the Library is not currently accepting donations.** Thank you for considering donating to the Attleboro Public Library! The library currently accepts donations of books, DVDs/Blu-Rays, video games, and puzzles in good condition. At this time, we do not accept VHS, cds, cd-roms, audiobooks, magazines, textbooks, encyclopedia, or dictionaries. Items we do not accept can be brought to the Discover Book Bin at the Attleboro Recycling Center. Can I fax something from the Attleboro Public Library? Yes. Outgoing faxes are $1 per page. The Attleboro Public Library does not accept incoming faxes.

Does the library offer Free WiFi? Yes, the library’s wireless network is unsecured, so you should be able to connect automatically.
Does the library offer computer classes? Unfortunately, because of limited space and computers, the Attleboro Public Library does not offer computer classes to the public at this time. Basic computer classes are available through The Literacy Center. Visit the literacy center online or in person to learn more. Additionally, the Attleboro campus of Bristol Community College offers computer classes to students enrolled in its Adult Basic Education classes. Does the library offer classes for English-language learners? The Attleboro Public Library does not offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. However, next door to the library is the The Literacy Center. Visit the literacy center online or in person (80 N. Main Street) to learn more about their ESOL classes.
Can I bring food or drink into the library? Eating or drinking in public service areas of the library is not permitted.
