APL Featured Event: Graphic Artist Ellen Crenshaw

We are very excited to announce that the library will be participating in ArtWeek SouthCoast this year! ArtWeek SouthCoast runs Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 17, 2026, bringing people together across Southeastern Massachusetts through the work of local artists, performers, cultural groups, creative businesses, and community organizations, creating shared experiences rooted in place. The APL will host graphic artist Ellen Crenshaw on Saturday, May 9, at 2pm. Ellen has written and illustrated the New York Times bestselling Baby-sitters Club graphic novel adaptations of Stacey’s MistakeKristy and the Walking Disaster, and Jessi Ramsey, Pet-Sitter by Ann M. Martin. She’s the co-creator with Colleen AF Venable of Kiss Number 8, which was nominated for an Eisner Award and longlisted for the National Book Award. Her first nonfiction graphic novel is What Was the Turning Point of the Civil War?: Alfred Waud Goes to Gettysburg, a Who HQ title.

Registration recommended, but not required.

Keep an eye out for other Attleboro ArtWeek events happening in and around downtown!
