2020 NEA Big Read – Join the Odyssey!

Circe Graphic
Hawk, Circe, for my yellow eyes… by artist Abby Rovaldi is an original pen & ink wash illustration inspired by this year’s title, Circe by Madeline Miller

Travel back to ancient Greece with us as we explore the mythical life of the goddess Circe in this bestselling novel by Madeline Miller. This year’s program features over 25 events and book discussions. Due to the ongoing COVID precautions, most of our programs are being offered online. A PDF version of our event calendar is available here. The Attleboro Arts Museum is exhibiting Scylla: the Ugly Truth Revealed, an exhibit inspired by Circe. You may visit the exhibit in person during the week of September 11-18, or online via this link. Join us for a virtual conversation with Madeline Miller and Dr. Kevin Kalish on October 8 at 7:30pm via Zoom. For all program details and registration links, please visit our NEA Big Read website at attleboros1abc.org. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
