Let us introduce you to the newest librarian in town, Rob Jordan! Rob joined our team in April and you’ll be seeing him in a variety of departments. This spring, he’ll be working at the reference desk on the second floor and at the circulation desk in the lobby. Rob comes to Attleboro with a history of library and customer service experience. We are very excited to add Rob’s skills to our team and to offer them to the community. Please stop by and say hello!
Here is a little bit about Rob in his own words:
“My name is Robert Jordan and I am the new Assistant Reference Librarian for the Attleboro Public Library. I am excited to be here and am looking forward to serving the local community and library patrons.
I graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in History. Later on, I attended the University of Rhode Island and completed a Masters in History and Library Information Studies. Prior to working at the Attleboro Public Library, I worked as a Reference Librarian at the Providence Community Library.
I thoroughly enjoy reading books, watching movies, and sports. I’m an avid reader of historical fiction and enjoy a wide range of movies – from Star Wars to serious dramas like Schindler’s List. I’m a huge fan of Manchester United and the New England Patriots.
I look forward to serving the information needs of the library’s patrons. Please don’t hesitate to ask for any assistance in locating books, DVDs, or articles. We also have a wealth of electronic resources available for our patrons. I can usually be found at the Reference Desk on the second floor.”
