What is Patriots’ Day, you might ask? It’s a special Massachusetts State holiday commemorating the opening battle of the American Revolutionary War (April 19, 1775). Read this article discussing Patriots’ Day in more detail.
And of course, the endurance test called the Boston Marathon occurs on this date. Starting in Hopkinton and ending in Boston, this 26.2-mile race attracts the most elite athletes across the globe in our small corner of the world!
