Have you seen the beautiful luminaries in the display cases on the first and second floors of APL? They were created by more than a dozen artists during the living art exhibit “Creating Awareness: Artists Work to Illuminate and Support” that was held at the Attleboro Arts Museum during this past February’s Winter Night Festival. All will be auctioned off during the Relay For Life of Greater Attleboro’s 25th anniversary event on Friday and Saturday, June 9 and 10, at Norton High School.
Bidding on the luminaries will occur on Friday evening (June 9) at the relay as part of a silent auction to occurring before the luminary ceremony, which will take place at about 9 p.m. Winning bidders may display their luminaries around the track along with hundreds of other luminaries that are lit annually in honor of cancer survivors and in memory of cancer victims–or take their luminaries home.
Both the Library and the Museum are the Relay’s community partners. These colorful luminaries are available for viewing at the Attleboro Public Library between now and the Relay.
