Celebrate National Library Week!

Libraries are full of stories from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks, and more. But there’s so much more to the story! Libraries of Things lend items like museum passes, games, musical instruments, and tools. Library programming brings communities together for entertainment, education, and connection through book clubs, storytimes, crafting classes, and lectures. Library infrastructure advances communities, providing internet and technology access, literacy skills, and support for businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs.

The Attleboro Public Library is celebrating all of the ways we serve our community and encouraging patrons to celebrate too! The list of “spirit days” is making everyone think about the many ways the library can lift us up and connect us with our neighbors.

Monday – Wear red to show how YOU are well REaD!

Tuesday – Dress like a favorite book character AND celebrate National Library Workers Day by telling a library staff member how much you appreciate them.

Wednesday – Silly Socks Day – for those of us that don’t enjoy wearing a full on costume but want to have some fun.

Thursday – Dress Like a Community Helper – Celebrate all of the help available in the community!

Friday – BOOKS! – Wear a favorite book themed t-shirt.

Saturday – Random Fandom – Dress to let everyone know your favorite fandom, if it connects with a title in the collection, all the better!
