Sitting Pretty in October

The NEA Big Read: Attleboro is excited to invite you to some great events this month. Early on, books were handed out at the Attleboro Farmers Market and at the Walk for KDC at Poncin-Hewitt Sports Complex. Sensory Friendly Day at Attleboro Springs is happening from 10am-1pm on Saturday, October 15. Stop by to stroll MA Audubon’s accessible trail and learn about local flora and fauna. Library staff will be there with books and information on our collections and services.

Have you read or listened to Sitting Pretty? We have book discussions happening, too. Teens are invited to join the conversation happening on Thursday, October 20 at 7pm.

Looking to engage from the comfort of your home or office? Bristol Community College will host a virtual panel discussion for National Disability Awareness Month, Disability: Part of the Equity Equation, on Thursday, October 27 from 12-1:30pm. Students and staff with disabilities, employers who have hired individuals with disabilities, and professionals who support this process will share their related stories. Register HERE.
