On Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm, local writer and poet and former publisher of The Sun Chronicle, Oreste P. D’Arconte, will read in its entirety and discuss his 24-page short story, “One Way Dead End.” This story was published earlier this year in the pulp fiction anthology, “Murder Ink”.
The book is a collection of 13 stories written by New England journalists and centering around the newspaper business. The story noir by D’Arconte, writing under the name O. Lucio d’Arc, involves three murders and an attempted murder in a small Massachusetts city where the protagonist is a reporter for the local newspaper with a wry sense of humor and a predilection for Beefeater gin.
