Halloween is rapidly approaching, and the APL is ready for its annual “Trick or Reading” book giveaway on Tuesday, October 31, from 8:30am-4:30pm! As with all events at the Library, our goal is to share the love of books, and Trick or Reading is a fun way to encourage kids to read on the spookiest night of the year.
Trick-or-treaters from birth-8th grade can visit the library on Halloween and select a book of their choice to take home and enjoy–but not eat! :) There will be board books, young readers, chapter books, nonfiction, and everything in between. Kids will enjoy being able to make their own book choices, and adults will likely enjoy that their children are not getting more candy!
The APL staff encourages you to wear your costume when you visit. In fact, some of us may be in costume, too!
