There’s still plenty of summer ahead, so why not take a trip to a local museum? The Friends of Attleboro Public Library provide a wide range of discount passes to local museums, zoos, and fun places to explore. Many of these locations have outdoor spaces and plenty of events happening to enjoy. Here are some ideas for you:
– Travel to Bristol, RI, to Blithewold where, in addition to the gorgeous grounds, you can also enjoy a Sunset Concert series Wednesdays 6-8 pm from now until September 6.
– You could visit Plimoth Patuxet Museums in Plymouth, MA, to learn about culture and history, be a short drive from the ocean, and see the Red Hawk Singers and Dancers on Tuesday August 22, at 6:30 pm.
– If animals are more your speed, check out our Roger Williams Zoo pass, and while you are there see some amazing dinosaurs roaring to life until August 13 (not included with zoo admission).
In addition to these awesome events, the Library has other discounted passes to other outdoor venues such as Battleship Cove, Davis Farmland, Heritage Museum and Gardens, Capron Park Zoo (for Attleboro residents), and more. There are great spots indoors if the weather is not to your liking! Visit the APL web site to view and reserve passes.
All passes are either free or discounted. Each discount is set by the operating institution. We recommend checking in with your chosen location about prices, hours of operation, and special policies regarding admission. Happy exploring!
