If you are like a lot of New Englanders, you may be wondering if Spring is going to make an appearance this year. We were relatively lucky with a mild winter, but are now waterlogged and chilled by what Mother Nature has served up the last couple of weeks!
Well, never fear, the Attleboro Public Library has three new displays to boost your mood and help you prepare for the season!
On the 1st floor, visit the Books are Always in Season display, featuring adult fiction with flower titles. Browse through diverse fiction from The Jade Peony, set in Vancouver’s Chinatown in the 1930s; to Joyce Carol Oates’ gritty collection of short stories in Black Dahlia & White Rose; to a tale of friendship set in 19th century China called Snow Flower and the Secret Fan; to a James Bond thriller titled, Never Send Flowers.
Also located on the 1st floor, is a display in the Children’s Room on baseball. Check out a book or two and while you are here, reserve tickets for an upcoming Paw Sox game – affordable local fun for the entire family!
The 3rd floor is host to a large display of nonfiction gardening books. From preparing your soil, to choosing the right plants for your yard, to designing a lush cottage flower garden, we have the resources you need to get your planting done right.
For additional resources, visit the Library’s Pinterest page on gardening and check the APL to see what’s blooming!
