 Teen Programs at the APL are where you can hang out, meet new people, do something fun and creative, and have a snack with other middle and high school kids. Email mwitherell@sailsinc.org if you have any questions OR have a suggestion for a new teen program!

Monthly Programs!

High Tech Club! (Open to grades 5-12) 6:00pm-7:30pm on 10/12/17, 11/9/17 and 12/7/17.

Coding, Programming and Robots…OH MY! Youth in grades 5-12 are welcome to join us for the High Tech Club! During the meeting participants will practice coding, programming and other tech skills using robots, computer kits, IPads and more! Registration is required, space is limited.

Please note that the program does not include formal instruction, tech toys are available for participants to play with a learn in a self directed way.

Photography Club! (Open to grades 5-12)

  • Calling all photography enthusiasts! The APL now has a photography club that meets once a month on a Thursday night!  We talk about photography, learn tips and tricks to taking great photos and practice on professional equipment!  Registration is required for each month you plan to attend, look for more information on the registration page about this club!
  • Upcoming dates-  Photography club is on a break and will start up again in the New Year! Check back then for more details on dates!

 

Book Hungry Sock Monkeys Book Club- The APL’s Official Middle School Book Club (Grades 5-8)! 

  • Wednesday October 18, 2017 6pm-7pm- Join us in discussing The League of Unexceptional Children by Gitty Daneshvari. Copies of the book will be available in the children’s room at the end of September and are also available in ebook/audiobook form on Overdrive. Registration is required.
