Calling all Potterheads! Harry Potter Mania has hit the library!

J. K. Rowling’s epic tale of the boy who lived is still top of many of our patron’s must read lists, even though the series has been around for many years.  It is fun to see children who were not even born when the book series began enthusiastically requesting the books to read on their own or with family members (who gladly read the series again!).  This enthusiasm does not go unnoticed by the APL staff.  Again this school year I was invited to assist with the Harry Potter Club at Wamsutta Middle School. Although the club is done for the year, the enthusiasm of the students lives on! Therefore the library will be hosting a Harry Potter Party on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6pm-7:15pm.  This party will be open to any Harry Potter fan in grades 5-12!  Registration is required, so be sure to save yourself a seat by visiting the event registration page. Participants are encouraged to dress up like their favorite character or wear their house colors!

Don’t know what house you would be sorted into?  Take the sorting quiz at pottermore.com to find out!

The APL’s volunteers are BIG fans of Harry Potter as well, check out this read-alike video they created last year!
